The parish church that Alcalá de Chivert's council decided in 1734 to build from scratch, after pulling down the old one. The first stone was laid in 1736 on José Herrero's project, Juan Barceló finished it in 1766 and the bell tower was completed in 1803. It keeps its Rococo decoration of the 1760s and a parish museum.
