The co-cathedral built in the 17th century over the old collegiate church, which was entirely demolished. It went up between 1616 and 1662 in the Herrerian style, to plans by Agustín Bernardino, a pupil of Juan de Herrera. Its outside is sober; inside are a great dome and the Chapel of the Communion, of the high Baroque of the 18th century.
