The palace of the Hurtado de Mendoza family, counts of Altamira, built at the end of the 15th century over an earlier one and reformed throughout the 16th; the Catholic Monarchs stayed in it between April and June 1496. It faces the main square with a classicist façade of about 1575, with towers at the ends and a Renaissance portal, and the Duero with the Gothic façade, a gallery of arches under a Mudéjar timber roof. Parts of that Gothic façade collapsed in September 2026.
