A church and convent of Discalced Carmelites raised at the start of the 17th century, supposedly on Saint Teresa's birthplace, and finished around 1636 by Alonso de San José, the order's master builder. The church is Baroque, with a single nave and side chapels and a sober façade with a triple arcade, and its head faces north so as to stand over the saint's room. It has been a minor basilica since 2022.
