The Baroque palace that Pedro de León y Menéndez de Avilés commissioned from the local architect Bartolomé Velasco, built between 1648 and 1652 at the corner of two streets, with an L-shaped front and a single prismatic tower at one angle. It was the residence of the marquises of Ferrera until the end of the 20th century and has been a hotel since 2003, the Palacio de Avilés. Its former garden is now a public park, and the French garden can be visited at certain hours.
