The Gothic church on the bank of the estuary, shown on the town's coat of arms. The enlargement of the first church, of a single nave, was planned in 1478 and its structure was finished around 1510; the Renaissance porch was designed in 1544 and carried out between 1546 and 1548, and the Baroque belfry was completed in 1775. The floods of 1983 swept away much of the furniture inside.
