The palace that Luis de la Cerda, first Duke of Medinaceli, commissioned from Lorenzo Vázquez de Segovia, considered by scholars the first Renaissance building on the peninsula, with a front of two storeys of Florentine rustication and windows with mullions and crestings of Gothic influence. Its date is disputed: from 1488 or 1489 to 1492 in its Spanish article, from 1492 according to Gómez-Moreno and about 1502 according to the traveller Lalaing. It was restored in 2012, and the interior is visited with a guide from the tourist office.
