The palace began as a group of medieval houses bought in 1425 and from 1492 was known as the palace of don Gome. In 1571 the Recibo courtyard and the Renaissance doorway were made, in 1624 the grilles of the courtyard, around 1737 the Archivo courtyard, and in 1814 its size was doubled with the garden and five more courtyards. Since 1981 it has been visited as a palace-museum with twelve courtyards.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
