Cudillero

Today: Spain

Years
1492–1833
Role
Fishing port on the Asturian coast

Cudillero was a fishing port already well established in the 15th century, which asked for the salt warehouse without getting it. Its council was joined to that of Pravia until the 18th century, when the residents offered 1,000 doubloons to separate, and municipal autonomy did not come until the 19th century. The coastal Camino de Santiago passed through Soto de Luiña.
