The Cistercian monastery founded in 1134, which was rebuilt almost entirely from the 16th century on: in 1668 fray Bernardo de Armuño wrote that all its buildings had been made new within the last eighty years. Juan de Herrera began the Hospedería cloister in 1574, the Baroque church has a granite façade with a chequered pattern of slate, and the Chirola was finished in 1716. The church is well preserved, and part of the monastic buildings is in ruins.

To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one.
