The parish church attached to the cathedral, built on the site of the main mosque after the remains of the earlier building were pulled down in 1704. Francisco Hurtado Izquierdo began the work in 1705, José de Bada y Navajas continued it from 1717, and the church opened for worship in 1759. It has a Greek-cross plan, with a succession of vaults and domes decorated with reliefs.
