The church of the Mercedarian convent, with a single nave in the late Gothic tradition, built mainly between the end of the 15th century and the 16th. The cloister was begun in 1548 and the Baroque façade, by Domingo Fernández Galafate, is of the 17th century; the high altarpiece, by Francisco Dionisio de Ribas, dates from 1654 to 1664. The convent became a hospital in 1841 and is now a secondary school; the church has been a minor basilica since 1949.
