The Romanesque cathedral begun in 1219 and consecrated in 1248, to which were added the classical cloister, built between 1636 and 1640 in place of the medieval one, and in the 18th century the Baroque façade and towers, ordered by Bishop Muñoz y Salcedo. Inside is the cathedral museum, founded in 1969.
