A fortress of Arab origin (10th century) that the Christians took in 1089, that belonged to the Templars from 1143 and that Jaime II besieged in 1309. It kept a garrison until the 19th century, and the present complex is above all the work of the modern age: a zigzag approach with bastions and casemates that leads to the medieval enclosure, and an outer look that was finalised in the 18th century. In 2017 emergency works were carried out on one of its moats.

To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one.
