The town's firewood market, known as the Eirado from the 15th century and redesigned and enlarged in the 18th. From then date the two large Baroque pazos on the east side, Castro Monteagudo, of 1760, and García Flórez, now part of the provincial museum, and the vernacular houses with arcades and wooden galleries. It has been pedestrian since 1990 and a granite crucero placed there about 1941 stands in the middle.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
