Years

Role
Headland defended by a tower from 1693, in San Lorenzo del Cardezar

The Punta de Amer, in the municipality of San Lorenzo del Cardezar, is a zone declared specially protected. Towards the end of the 17th century a fortified tower of cubic plan, ringed by a moat, was raised on it. San Lorenzo, the town it belongs to, was given the rank of villa by Royal Order in January 1816 and formed its town council in 1820, suppressed again in 1823.
