The shrine of the city's patron, which Felipe II called the "queen of hermitages". The three Renaissance aisles, of the 16th century, replaced a Mudéjar church, and in 1649 the Baroque main chapel with its lath-and-plaster dome was added under Fray Lorenzo de San Nicolás. The tile dados of the side aisles date from the 17th century; it has been a minor basilica since 1989 and can be visited.
