The chapel built beside the cathedral for the Virgen de los Desamparados. Diego Martínez Ponce de Urrana built it between 1652 and 1666 on designs approved by Juan Gómez de Mora; the camarín went up between 1683 and 1694 and Antonio Palomino painted the dome in 1701. It stands on the forum of Roman Valentia. It was set on fire in the civil war and its interior changed a great deal between the 18th and 20th centuries.
