A palace that the commander Alonso Molina de Medrano had built: contract in December 1609, works from January 1610, nearly finished by July 1612, with the last record in 1616. It has a mannerist doorway influenced by Serlio, an imperial staircase and a patio with columns of single pieces of stone. It has belonged to the council since 1861 and is the seat of the Fundación María Zambrano, whose collections can be visited on the upper floor.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
