Years
1492–1833
Role
Hamlet and lordship of Morella

A hamlet of Morella and a lordship of that town from 1367, Zorita had about 425 inhabitants in 1646. Three kilometres away, in a hollow above the Bergantes river, the sanctuary of La Balma was built between the 16th and 18th centuries, with a 16th-century hostel, a cave chapel of 1667 and a 17th-century bell tower, a pilgrimage centre that became popular in the 18th century for seeking cures.

To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one.
