A convent of Augustinian nuns that settled in the city in 1520 and was dedicated to the Virgin of Monteagudo in the early 17th century. After the fire of 1745 almost all of it was restructured between 1747 and 1761 to a project by Cristóbal García: the portal in polychrome marbles dates from 1751, the church has a single nave with a gallooned dome and stucco of a Rococo character, and the tower is Baroque. The cloister has brick arcades on columns of red limestone from El Torcal.
