The Gothic cathedral begun in May 1298, with almost all of its structure in place by about 1463; the Neo-Gothic façade and the crossing tower date from 1882 onwards. From the centuries of these years the interior keeps Bartolomé Ordóñez's choir screens (1517), the Renaissance trascoro that Pedro Villar finished in 1564, the organ case of 1538 and the Baroque altarpieces of the chapels, from Agustí Pujol's Rosary altarpiece (1617 to 1620) to that of Saint Anthony Abbot (1690 to 1712). The cloister and a cathedral museum survive.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
