The convent of Dominican nuns that the Consell de Cent had moved inside the city, because what they were building outside the walls got in the way of its defence. Its first stone was laid in 1562, next to the chapel of Peu de la Creu; the church, of Gothic design, has a nave of five bays and a Renaissance portal. The nuns were exclaustrated in 1836 and today the complex is part of the MACBA and serves for cultural activities.
