The Lonja de Mar, the building where the city's merchants met. Its Gothic Contracting Hall, of 1384 to 1397, was covered by the neoclassical work that Joan Soler i Faneca began in 1774 and that his son Tomàs Soler i Ferrer and Joan Fàbregas finished in 1802. The façades, the courtyard with the fountain of Neptune and the staircase are theirs; today it is the seat of the Chamber of Commerce and of the Royal Catalan Academy of Fine Arts of Saint George.
