The seat of the Diputació del General, which in 1400 bought a house on carrer de Sant Honorat and kept enlarging it. From these years date the Golden Chamber of 1526, the Orange Tree Courtyard (from 1532), the bell tower of 1570 to 1590, the Renaissance façade on plaça de Sant Jaume that Pere Blai raised between 1596 and 1602, and the façades on carrer de Sant Honorat and carrer de Sant Sever, of 1610 to 1630. The Gothic core, with the carrer del Bisbe façade and the chapel of Saint George, is earlier; it is still the seat of the Presidency of the Generalitat.
