The former residence of the counts of Barcelona and the kings of the Crown of Aragon, with the Tinell hall (1359 to 1362) and the chapel of Santa Àgata (1302). The last addition, in 1555, was the Mirador del Rei Martí, a rectangular tower of five storeys with a gallery of round arches on each. Only isolated and much-altered buildings remain, open to the public as part of the History Museum and the Frederic Marès Museum.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
