Habsburg and Bourbon Spain
Castellón de la Plana
Today: Spain
- Years
- 1492–1833
- Role
- Crown town with the Fadrí tower
Castellón was a town of the Crown: in the Germanías it clashed with Burriana and Morella until the Duke of Segorbe took and sacked it in 1521, and in 1707 the Duke of Berwick demanded the demolition of its walls. From the period survives the Fadrí, the freestanding bell tower begun in 1440, with a Baroque spire raised in 1735.

To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
