The building Philip V ordered for the only university in Catalonia, created in 1717 when the other universities of the Principality were abolished. It was built between 1718 and 1740, designed by Francesc Soriano and carried out by Miguel Marín: the main façade is Baroque, from the first phase, and the inner façade Neoclassical, from the second. It now houses, among other things, the regional archive of the Segarra, a library and a secondary school.
