Years
1492–1833
Role
Village of the sexmo of Plasencia, a villa from 1806

It was a village of the Sexmo of Plasencia until 30 May 1806, when it received the title of villa by royal privilege. After the arrival of Charles V at Yuste, in 1557, it appears as "Quacos" in many documents. When the Old Regime fell it became a constitutional municipality, known as Cuacos, and the census of 1842 counted 220 households.
