The main parish church of Puente la Reina, in late Gothic, was built between 1543 and 1566 by the Gipuzkoan stonemasons Martín de Oyarzábal and Lázaro de Iriarte, on the walls of the 12th-century Romanesque church, whose two portals were kept. The choir was finished in 1575, and between 1776 and 1778 Santos Ángel de Ochandátegui topped the tower in late Baroque and built the atrium that closes the church towards calle Mayor.
