A Benedictine monastery of medieval origin, with a Romanesque church of the 12th and 13th centuries, to which the Renaissance and the 17th century added the Plateresque cloister, built between 1540 and 1586 to plans by Martín de Oyarzábal, and the Herrerian tower and new cloister, beside the buildings of the University of Irache, the first in Navarre, which worked from 1569. The complex fell out of use in 1985 and Mass is still said on Sundays.
