The funerary chapel that the Catholic Monarchs ordered by royal charter of 13 September 1504 and that Enrique Egas began in 1505 in the Gothic style; it was built until 1517. It holds the tombs of Isabella and Ferdinand, by Domenico Fancelli, and those of Joanna and Philip, by Bartolomé Ordóñez. The former sacristy is now a museum, and the lonja of 1518 serves as the entrance to the complex.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
