A collegiate church from 1435, it replaced a Romanesque church with a round plan, which gave it its name. The central body, of three aisles, was built between 1516 and 1538 in the Gothic of the Catholic Monarchs; the Baroque chapel of Our Lady of the Angels dates from 1756, and the façade-retablo is flanked by two twin towers by Martín de Beratúa, an 18th-century architect. It became a co-cathedral in 1959.
