The ballroom of the Buen Retiro palace, built by Alonso Carbonel in 1637 for the court of Felipe IV, and one of the two buildings that survived the palace's destruction. Luca Giordano painted the Allegory of the Golden Fleece on its vault, practically the only original part that remains. It has belonged to the Museo del Prado since 1971 and has been its study centre since 2009.

To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one.
