The ruins of the church of the Piarist school in Lavapiés: the school was begun in 1729 and finished in 1761, and Gabriel Escribano built the church between 1763 and 1791. It was set on fire on 19 July 1936 and stood in ruins until 2002. A library and a UNED university centre were built inside the ruins and opened in 2004.
