The goddess Cybele in her chariot drawn by lions, the fountain Ventura Rodríguez designed between 1777 and 1782 for Carlos III's Salón del Prado; Francisco Gutiérrez carved the goddess and Roberto Michel the lions. It stood facing the Buenavista palace, at the head of Recoletos, until it was moved to the middle of the square in 1895. It is one of the symbols of Madrid.

To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one.
