The church of the Hieronymite monastery the Catholic Monarchs had built in Madrid, raised in 1503 to 1505. The French badly damaged it in 1808, and its present Gothic look comes from Narciso Pascual y Colomer's 19th-century restorations. Its cloister of 1612 was taken down and rebuilt inside the extension of the Museo del Prado.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
