The Benedictine monastery on the mountain, with a single-nave basilica begun in the 16th century and consecrated in 1592. Napoleonic troops burned it in 1811 and 1812 and the exclaustration of 1835 left little more than the walls; the interior was remade in the 19th century, and the camarín hall dates from 1876 to 1884. The boys of the Escolanía, founded in the 13th century, live here, and there is a museum.
