A Baroque palace built between 1673 and 1675 by the architect Gregorio de la Roza for the Malleza Doriga family, on the Plaza Porlier. It has an asymmetrical ashlar façade with a columned doorway and coats of arms, and a courtyard of Tuscan columns with a large stone staircase. It housed the Provincial Public Library from 1958 to 1987 and is now the seat of the Real Instituto de Estudios Asturianos.

To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
