The Gothic cathedral that James I began in 1229 on the site of the main mosque, and whose church was consecrated in 1601. From those years date the Almoina portal, of 1498; the pulpits by Juan de Sales, of 1529 to 1531; Miquel Verger's main portal, of 1594 to 1601, which the neo-Gothic façade rebuilt from 1854 left standing; and the organ of 1795 to 1797. Gaudí's reform dates from 1904 to 1914.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
