The Hospital de Nuestra Señora de la Misericordia, of the 16th century, of which only the front and the chapel survive. The Gothic-Renaissance chapel is by Juan de Ancheta and was made between 1547 and 1550; the front, of 1556, by Juan de Villarreal and Martín de Azcárate, reads as a triumphal arch with Plateresque ornament. The hospital was emptied in 1932 and since 1956 it has housed the Museo de Navarra, which shows the portal as one more piece.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
