A gate into the city that replaced and enlarged the old Arab Puerta de la Puente, after the collapse of the first new bridge in 1741 made the entrance worth improving. A stone inscription nearby dates it to 1742, under Felipe V. It is a double arch of ashlar topped by three pinnacles, with the shell of the Anjou and the royal arms of the Bourbons on the outer face.
