Role
Town on the Gulf of Roses with its fortress

Rosas, a town on the gulf that had to be defended from pirates and the French, received a fortress from Charles I that was besieged and reworked in 1645 to 1659 and 1794 to 1795. After the siege of 1645 and the destruction of the medieval town, which stood inside the enclosure, a suburb grew outside the walls, and in 1796 the new parish church of Santa María was consecrated there. In February 1813 the Napoleonic army blew up part of the citadel.

To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one.
