The college that Alonso de Fonseca, Archbishop of Santiago de Compostela, founded in 1519 for the university's Galician students. Diego de Siloé, Rodrigo Gil de Hontañón and Juan de Álava all worked on it, and the works finished in 1578; the chapel carries the date 1549. It is the only one of Salamanca's old colegios mayores that survives, now a postgraduate residence and a venue for cultural events.
