The cathedral of the Apostle's tomb, Romanesque in its body (built 1075 to 1211), which in these centuries received much of what is seen from outside: the cloister, begun in 1521 and finished in 1590, the Puerta Real on the Quintana side (1666 to 1700), the Clock Tower, which Domingo de Andrade raised between 1676 and 1680, Fernando de Casas Novoa's Baroque Obradoiro façade (1738 to 1750) and the Azabachería façade, finished in 1769. Behind the Obradoiro façade the Pórtico de la Gloria is preserved. The interior can be visited, including the climb to embrace the image of the Apostle.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
