The Benedictine monastery founded around 830 and occupied since 1499 by cloistered nuns. The present convent began to be renewed in 1600 and was not finished until 1793; the church, on a Greek-cross plan, was begun in 1699 with the demolition of the earlier one and was inaugurated in 1707, and the plain façade of the convent faces the Quintana square. The Museum of Sacred Art of Antealtares is reached from the church.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
