The Renaissance crown of the cathedral's bell tower, which Hernán Ruiz II designed after being chosen in December 1557 and built from 1558 to 1568. The bell stage dates from 1560 to 1562, and the Giraldillo, a bronze statue of Faith cast by Bartolomé Morel, was put in place on 13 August 1568. With the statue the tower is 94.69 metres tall, and the bell level is the part that can be visited.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
