The church of the Dominican convent of San Pablo el Real, designed by Leonardo de Figueroa and built between 1694 and 1709 after the medieval church collapsed in the Guadalquivir floods of 1691 and 1692. Its dome is the first in the city on an octagonal drum, and Lucas Valdés painted the vault of the chancel between 1710 and 1715. Of the convent only the church, the sacristy and the Montserrat chapel remain.
