The archbishops' residence, grown from houses the king gave to don Remondo, bishop of Segovia, in 1251. After the reforms of Diego de Deza from 1505, the one begun in 1582 made it a single palace; the doorways date from 1703 to 1705 (south) and 1720 to 1722 (west), the Throne Room was made between 1755 and 1775 and the works ended in 1784. It is still the archbishop's residence and can be visited in groups on two Saturdays a month.

We count visits ourselves, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To count people rather than clicks, we keep a one-way code derived from your connection and browser for at most 48 hours and then delete it; what remains is totals per page that identify no one. We never store your IP. We also use Plausible, analytics hosted in the European Union that likewise sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, to learn which sites send readers here and how many searches are run, never what is searched for.
