A cylindrical tower with an artillery battery attached, which it was decided to build after the corsair attack of 1542 to defend the port: work began in 1543 and ended in 1545, the year carved on the lintel. In 1561 it stopped the corsair troops from landing in the port, and it kept a garrison and a governor until 1864. Sold to private owners in 1877, it is now a dwelling and cannot be visited.
